Cork

Cork is one of the original environmently friendly flooring products. In Portugal the cork is stripped after 25 years, and this is actually essential for the physiological recovery of the tree rather than being harmful. The tree will then regenerate its cork layer, which from here on the cork can be stripped every 9 years. This is then made into a range of products including of course cork flooring.

Cork flooring is still as popular today as it was many years ago, with people realising just how practical it is. Cork is a hardwearing floor for life,  warm in winter, cool underfoot in summer, spills wipe up easily, perfect for use in high traffic and wet areas. A cork floor can look as modern as tomorrow in years to come with a choice of gloss or satin finish.  Cork comes in a wide variety of colours and styles, and is laid straight to your sub-floor. The Cork is then sanded and polished in your desired gloss level.
