Due to the recent issues around silica dust in certain products, Work Place Health & Safety Regulators (WHS) have been cracking down on dust management on site of all types of dust, including the dust you can’t see.
Avoid a possible fine and ensure you:
- Are using a Vacuum with a Hepa M or H Class Filter.
- Sanding machines should be hooked up to an approved vacuum unit.
- Wear appropriate FIT tested mask (half face) or disposable with P1 or P2 filter. FIT Testing legislation: bit.ly/FITTestingLegislation You have an obligation that you and your staff are meeting these standards to avoid substantial fines.
