Decking Blackbutt

Blackbutt is a common tree in the wild and its timber is an Australian favourite. The timber is a light pale straw, it’s hardy and versatile. Blackbutt's colour, figure and suitability for staining makes it popular for indoor use. Additionally, its high natural durability and strength make it popular for external & structural use.

Decking Forest Reds

Forest Reds is Boral's mix of red coloured Australian Hardwoods. The timber is a mix of mainly Eucalyptus trees from Australia's east coast. Timber is a variety of red colours from soft, light pinks to deep rich burgundy some bronze tones could be present.

Decking Ironbark

Ironbark is one of the hardest timber species commercially available worldwide. This tough timber is a renowned Australian Eucalypt not only because of its extreme strength, but also because of its attractive interlocked grain and rich reddish-browns.

Decking Mixed Hardwood

Mixed Hardwood is Boral's mix of Australian Hardwoods. The timber is a mix of mainly Eucalypt trees from Australia's east coast. Mixed hardwood offers the largest possible range of colours and figure varieties. Boards differ from light to dark shades, from pale to rich colours and from red to brown hues.

Decking River Reds

River Red’s is Boral’s mix of durable Red timber mainly from Eastern Australian Species.

Decking Spotted Gum

Spotted Gum is very unique and probably the second most popular Australian timber. There is not another timber in the world like Spotted Gum. The colour varies widely between pale straw to chocolate brown, sometimes having an olive green or red tinge.

Decking Stringybark

Stringybark is a mix of light timber from the Stringybark group of Eucalyptus trees. Timber is generally straight grained and blonde coloured, visually similar to Blackbutt with a slightly larger variety of blonde/brown colours and a more common pinkish tinge.

Decking Tallowwood

Tallowwood is one of the most naturally durable (termite and rot resistance) timbers in the world. It has been a very popular Eastern Australian timber, being hardy, durable and high visual grade. The colour is usually a warm-blonde honey colour with a tinge of olive green.

Decking White Mahogany

White Mahogany is a high quality Australian hardwood. Its timber is very similar to Tallowwood, being a warm-blonde / honey colour. White mahogany is quite hard and very naturally durable.
